COMMISSIONING SERVICES

Full Scope Commissioning Program

Commissioning cleaning activities, such as chemical treatment or steam blowing, are intended to prepare the system for hot commissioning, and have an essential role during the first years of operation, but the integrity of the plant should not rely on its performance as, occasionally, by the time these activities are executed, the system is already damaged by the effects of the accumulation of deposits and localized corrosion.

For this purpose, Chemical Boiler has set up a detailed execution program defined as Integrated Methodology, or IDM, which aims to implement practical knowledge towards the engineering and project design, technical supervision during construction, and final execution management in commissioning.

The design aspects of a project will have a great impact in the way commissioning is executed. We want to make sure your design is prepared for commissioning activites and adapted to temporary systems to avoid any kind of further interventions and modifications onsite.

To achieve the required level of design specifications, reliability and assess conformity of the final product an intensive quality control program shall be implemented during the manufacturing and delivery of equipments:

  • Intensify general inspections in all stages of the project
  • Verify process certifications to meet fabrication standards
  • Quality assurance during manufacture
  • Witness fabrication tests
  • Audit conditions before delivery to the project site

Intensify supervision during construction as an additional measure to ensure that system integrity is maintained.

  • Use temporary covers to isolate system piping, components, or tank connections.
  • Keep the area clean, and sign protocol when system closeout is performed.
  • Before the assembly of each pipe system, check for leftover materials and validate the cleaning by air blowing/sweeping to remove sand.
  • It is also very important to intensify resources in the laydown area to ensure the equipment is properly stored and classified.

Selecting an appropriate commissioning program will mitigate the risk of corrosion during the progression of the project, and subsequently, minimize potential failures during commissioning.

Setting up a commissioning strategy requires a great deal of coordination among different departments, integration of practical lessons learned and great common effort throughout the project.

We have been involved in all stages of many EPC projects all over the world and are committed to meet our client´s expectations in quality and time.
